1. Tell us about your art.
I feel I have been given a wonderful gift, the ability to create any kind of art I feel a love for and to be born in a time and place where resources and knowledge are readily available.  If anything, there may be too many things I want to try,  but  that is what keeps me exited to experiment and venture down new unknown roads.  My medias are palette-knife Oils, Watermedia and collage paintings, polymer and beaded jewelry and polymer objects such as clocks and mirrors.  Recently I have been experimenting with Bronze Clay a new medium on the market.
 2. When you’re not making art, what else do you like to do?
Gardening, specifically Irises; travel, meet new people, see old civilizations and cultures; genealogy–my family goes back to 1640 in Virginia; reading mysteries, and being with my family who, by the way, are the greatest.

3. What made you become an artist?
I don’t really think I ever had a choice or wanted one.  Everything artistic from painting to any kind of craft turns my creative spirit on.  The desire to be a good professional artist was always there, even though I knew it would never be easy, but I have enjoyed the trip and still trying to better my art every day.

4. What inspires you?
Everything beautiful and pleasant inspires me especially here in New Mexico, but my travels have also made a big impression on me.

5. What makes you unique as an artist?
I have never thought of my art as unique, but perhaps a little different; as color and texture, especially in my palette-knife oils is a technique not often used.

7. Which artist do you most admire?
I very much admire John Pike (American Watercolorist),  Nicolai Fetchen (oil impressionist) and of course, the early Taos artists who depicted New Mexico and its people in such a fine way.
